Yes, Record Store Day 2010 is finally here. This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances. Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, djs spinning records and on and on.

We are very lucky to have some outstanding independent record stores in our area. Regardless what obstacles the record industry has handed these beloved music community strongholds, continue to work their ass off. This is the day we need to celebrate this, and also make sure to continue the support the year through. Below is a list of some of our favorite independent record stores.
