6:00PM to 7:00PM • Leftneck Folksinger

He calls himself a "leftneck" songwriter and with his deep voice and 10 year stint in Nicaragua, Grant Peeples has a lot to say. Peeples has political songs, love songs and troubadour ballads backed by a musical style swathed in southern country rock, folk, blues, bluegrass and at times, some latin influence as well. Some may hear a little Leonard Cohen in his music so all in all, Peeples can entertain a wide spectrum of music enthusiasts. Check Out More HERE

Kevin So

7:15PM to 8:15PM • Electronic Rock.

Boston-raised but now a Nashville resident, Kevin So has been given lots of praise from the Boston Globe for his soulful blend of pop, folk, and rhythm and blues. So has gotten the deserved props from big wigs Billy Bragg, Martin Sexton and Richie Havens. He's Asian American and he's breaking boundaries with his honest sound and "foot-stomping" performances.

Poetry Is started in 2005 at WMNF community radio with host Lizz Straight bringing the best of spoken word into one creative forum. The show has literally torn down walls due its popularity with brothers and sisters behind bars who have in return, submitted their own work.

Two Man Gentleman Band

9:45PM to 10:45PM • Raucous, Retro Vaudevillian Swing

These two "gents" take vaudevillian jazz and swing and toss in hip party lyrics and witty, engaging performances. Familiar with the New York subway and parks circuit, Two Man Gentleman Band have evolved into a must-see stage act which has caught the attention of another familiar busker, Bob Dylan and country-folk partier, Willie Nelson. The "gents" always bring a good time and when it comes to banjo solos, you'll be amazed at the likes of Andy Bean's skills on a stringed instrument. Check Out More HERE

11:00PM to 12:00AM • High Energy Folk

Hailing from Detroit, Sista Otis creates a high energy sound of urban american folk rock. Her powerful voice compliments her raw sound and her self-proclaimed "good time girl" persona shines throughout her song-writing. Sista Otis has already received plenty of accolades for her work and looks to gain more fans during her time at Tropical Heatwave.
