Tantric’s fourth album, produced by former Creed touring bassist Brett Hestla, continues their work in the most shameful of all rock genres, post-grunge. The saddest part is that the album will probably achieve success thanks to wife-beating, wallet-chain-wearing douchebags. How seriously can I take a band that includes Seether and Alter Bridge in their top friends on Myspace? Mind Control is over 35 minutes of the worst rock clichés and irritating vocals by singer Hugo Ferreira, who tries desperately to show you how cool and manly he is with his voice. My favorite lyrics are “Come on, come on, come on and get some.” If you plan on buying Mind Control in August, please send me an e-mail so I can personally make fun of you.
