Playing mainstream rock with no apologies, From This Fire? has the art of the power-grunge ballad down pat. Singer-guitarist Drew Bell, guitarist Ben Bowman, bassist Derek Fair and drummer Gabe Higgins seem like they are aiming for national attention via radio play with their release, and recommended for fans of Switchfoot?, Breaking Benjamin?, and Underoath?. While the songs meander with faith based content, the group is still up for out and out shredding, with piles of metallic guitars, and throaty vocals the trademark sound on their debut self-titled recording.
