Buddy Shaub, of Less Than Jake fame, may have grabbed the acoustic for his new band, Coffee Project, but he still manages to throw in that sweet trombone on the tracks. Teaming up with frontman Jake Crown from Rehasher, Coffee Project is an acoustic guitar-driven duo with songs centering around the various themes, both up and down, in relationships. Crown sings with a punk rock honesty and vocals are harmonized at times, making Coffee Project an easily likable listen which will have fans of the genre singing along quickly. Shaub and Crown self-produced their upcoming full-length entitled Moved On, in their home studio amidst a handful of Gainesville guest appearances and a plethora of brewed coffee beans. The 11-song LP will be released in late spring via Paper + Plastick.

In May, Coffee Project will embark on a tour to support the release of Moved On with labelmates Blacklist Royals and Greenland Is Melting. Moved On is the follow-up to their previously released 10" EP Easy Does It and their digital only EP, Pickle, both released by Paper + Plastick.
