He's My Brother She's My Sister has played at the Sundance Film Festival, Manimal Vinyl Festival, The New Los Angeles Folk Festival, and this past summer toured to Europe as the official band of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The band revives the magic of western swing. Folk and blues rock meets vaudeville glamour with a kick. Brother and sister Rob Kolar and Rachel Kolar split vocal duties, with Rob on guitar and occasional banjo. Lauren Brown adds full-body percussion with her expert tap-dancing, and Satya Bhabha's cello ranges from bass to blues fiddle and back again. This Los Angeles band’s mixture of colorful costumes, alleyway rhythms, and high energy makes the music come alive and crowds erupt in dancing.
