Tampa was supposed to be a 1-year detour for me, '98-'99, while I sorted out what I wanted to do next. That's turned into almost 12 years of making some really kick-ass theater for a growing audience of kick-ass people. I've been able to collaborate with some of the best talents in the area – actors, artists, musicians, designers – and it just keeps getting better. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for me and my friend Mike Caban creating an arty manifesto on bar napkins and scrap paper, but Jobsite wouldn't be here without the good graces of this city and its denizens. If we don't have an audience, we don't have a company.
