To be honest this is probably the third neighborhood I fell in love with in Tampa, but it also sits perfectly between the other two – Ybor City and Seminole Heights. I've owned a neat old bungalow in this neighborhood now for almost 6 years, and I don't see myself ever moving. I live in a truly diverse neighborhood, an old neighborhood, that's smack dab in the middle of just about everything I need. If only they'd turn Florida and Tampa back into 2-way streets, or at least get that streetcar running in the proposed loop through the 'hood. My friends from big cities are always jealous when they visit – parking, a yard, comfort, history – and just a stone's throw from the urban core.
