The Casual Fiasco, "one of Vermont's hardest working bands," has thrown in the towel. Or, rather, they threw in the towel last summer, BUT WAIT - their final recording is now available as a free download at their website. Now, I rather like this idea. Screw trying to promote your newest album with online giveaways while still thinking you might see some decent payday with physical and iTunes sales; just disappear, then unleash your creation on the world nine months later, like that girl in high school who "had to go away for a while."

(BTW, if you put the words "Vermont" and "hardest working" together with the fact that you've never heard of them, and guessed that The Casual Fiasco played a crunchy, "collegiate" and altogether white blend of reggae/newgrass/roots/world, congratulations.)
