Everyone's favorite German burlesque pastiche hourder, Amanda Palmer, is going out on her own, sans fellow Dresden Doll'er, Brian Viglione, with the September 18 release of Who Killed Amanda Palmer, out on Roadrunner. 

In accordance with the pending release, Palmer recruited Ben Folds (who is known for his own wacky video shenanigans) to produce this elegant, and somber video to "Ampersand" of the new LP.  Suddenly, her penciled-in eyebrows don't seem so funny anymore. 

From Stereogum, the killer line in the song is "I'm not gonna live my life on one side of an ampersand."  Considering and ampersand (&) is what the Dresden Dolls are, this ballad has me wondering how solid her creative relationship with Viglione is.
