It has been over 7 long years since you heard a new record out of this Ska-Swing-Rocksteady group out of the Northwest. Some of the tracks here are attempts at breaking out of their "Swing Band" mold that is such a blessing and a curse, but the tunes that succeed the most are the ones that stick to their original formula. And maybe that isn't a fair statement either. Songs like "White Trash Toodle Oo" show their punk roots and are swinging at the same time, Roseanne has flamenco influences and is hokey and hookey at the same time. Sure, the band hasn't lost their horns, but they are trying to loose their former stereotypes.
