No Friends is the one-off collaboration between Municipal Waste, and the now sadly defunct New Mexican Disaster Squad. That's quite a pedigree. While taking elements of both bands, No Friends have mixed 80's H.C. and punk with the occasional No Idea-ish off key sing along chorus, and this shit works. It should sound tired, yet doesn't. It could be a just a nod to the old school, yet still sounds fresh. Gorilla Biscuits breakdowns. Descendents-y hooks. Given that 3 members live in Orlando, and one in Richmond, I hope this grows into something more than a side project, mileage be damned. Killer.
