Independent Bar Tampa

This newly opened counterpart to the first Independent Beer Hall in St Pete has just what you would expect from the original, an impressive rotating selection of fantastic European beers and a great crowd of friendly people. Located in Seminole Heights and built into a converted 1935 gas station, the Independent in Tampa has an impressive menu of craft brewed beers on draft and by the bottle. The centrally located beer lover’s dream is the only place like it in the area and reflects the owners’ wish to create a neighborhood drinking establishment that offers quality brews (more than 100 at last count) in a space that inspires patrons to socialize and enjoy themselves. An impressive second location created by John and Veronica Vellines, this space differs from the original Independent only in its larger size; a distinction chosen to accommodate the presentation of free live acoustic shows and the upcoming addition of a small café seating area.

Current Cafe' Evening Menu uses fresh local produce when available.

Served w/ lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard on a french style bun and a side of sweet potato chips.

V.L.T. $6.75
Veggie "B.L.T." w/ veggie bacon, lettuce, tomato and garlic mayo, and a side of sweet potato chips.

Caprese Panini $7.50
Tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, garlic oil, romano cheese, herbs de provence. Served with a field green salad dressed with roasted red peppers, red onion, romano, balsamic vinaigrette) *add prosciutto $1.50

The Indie "Grilled Cheese" $7.50
Pears sauteed in honey and five spice, creamy gouda, on pressed fresh rye bread. Served with arugula salad dressed with st.agur blue cheese, toasted walnuts, grapes, lemon mustard vinaigrette.
